If anyone has an interest in the lives of North American Indians today, I recommend reading the book Lakota Woman by Mary Crow Dog. This autobiography traces Mary Crow Dogs life from growing up on the reservation, to boarding school, to the Civil Rights movement. I really liked it, but the things that she went through really surprised and scared me. So, if you want to know more about this part of our counties culture that you should read it.
