It is common knowledge than none of the education departments know anything about each other. This class and CI-3850 are the only two classes I have taken that were not at least half full of special edu. majors. And according to many of my professors, inclusion is the biggest headache a teacher, regular or special edu, faces in today’s schools. And since we are a good cross section of the young teachers that will be entering the schools, I wanted to get a feeling for what everyone else thinks about inclusion. Have you learned anything about inclusion? Do you think it works? Do you think that you will never have to deal with it? Would you feel comfortable with another teacher coming into your classroom and teaching with you? Would you rather have students leave your class for remediation? And any other feelings and thoughts you have on the matter. I’m just trying to figure out what I expect from the schools when I get there.
