I would like to know what word sums up your feelings on who an amazing teacher would be. For instance: honorable, knowledgeable, patent, and so on. Also give a little more on why that word carries so much for you.

I'd say for me it was...well, I started to say "Friend," but I don't know how much I pander to that idea anymore. A teacher should be a friend to their students, but first and foremost they are an educator, an authority figure. I'd say "guide." Most of my favorite teachers were sort of guides for me. They not only provided me with an education, but they revealed something of themselves as a person--as a role model--to their classroom. That is important to students, especially in high school (myself being a secondary education major), when students are trying to find who they are in the world. So I would say that a teacher should act as a guide to their students, and help them and be there for them...but also lead them along their educational journey.
