Do you think it is important that students call their teachers Mr, Ms, Mrs, Coach, etc. or do you think it is appropriate for them to call their teachers by their first names. Different teachers have different thoughts on this, and though its not a big issue it has always been something that I have found sort of interesting. I personally want to be called “Mr. Clifton,â€

I've already talked about my math teacher from high school in a different post, but he preferred to be called by his first name. I think that's one reason why everybody loved him because we all felt like we could talk to him about anything. We never thought of him as "just our math teacher." He was our math teacher but someone we could talk to about anything at any time. I'm not real sure what i want to be called. I kinda do want to be called by my first name, but maybe with a Ms. in front of it. But then again since i'm teaching younger children, they might get confused and think that they can call all the autority figures in the school by their first names. Its something i will have to think about a little more i guess.
