I know that people can do some horrible things just because "everyone was doing it" or the excitement and anger over an event became too strong. But why do we have it in us to do these things? Some hidden evil? Do we build up such anger and hatred for something or someone that we can do these horrible things?
We can not say it is because "they started it" or "they might have done it if I didn't". This is not a real reason. Seeing the website of the Lynching Postcards and the "Remember Mai Lai" video deeply troubles me over the questions of why it is in our nature to "kill or be killed".
I went through and looked at the postcards, the cruelty of passersby is staggering. If you have not already, view the site and read the "more info" or "back of card".

Hey I was really disturbed about the video and web site to I obsessed over it all weekend to make since of it all and I think about the scene in where the heart is when Natalie Portman i think that is her name says to Ashley Judd that every one has evil in them but they also have good and the good is the part that we have to hang on to. That some how comforts me.
