How important is it?

I think it should not be eliminated from subjects such as art. As it is currently being considered. Ahhh... it just scares me to think of even less qualified teachers. I understand there is a need for teachers everywhere, but give me a break. It is insulting as a future art educator. Has anyone else heard if it is being considered to possibly being eliminated from their subject?
