There was limited, or perhaps I should say guarded, discussion in regard to students with alternative lifestyles the other night. How would you all approach issues surrounding the topic in your classroom? Or would you address it at all?
I'm just curious as to what you all want to contribute regarding the topic.

I hate that I missed this class, but now I have an opportunity to tell you about my experience last year:
A lesbian was in one of my classes last year. Because she had been enrolled in one of my colleague's classes a semester before, I knew about her situation and orientation, which helped me approach her on a non-threatening level. Apparently the girl told her parents two years ago about her sexual preference and that did not go well.
Other students in the school, particularly “Christianâ€

I do not agree with their lifestyles, but I am willing to listen and try to help anyone if I can. Even though we may not agree with a person who chooses a lifestyle of being gay, we as christians should show a loving christ like spirit and treat them like a human being.
