What are some social, emotional, and/or educational problems that can oocur in school because of sex role stereotyping on the part of teachers, students, and society? Can anyone give an example?

I think this would show up in the guidance office when students are counseled about what classes they take. Are girls encouraged to take technical classes such as auto mechanics and welding? Are boys encouraged to take cosmotology classes. When girls play on boys sports teams are they accepted? If you remember the female kicker at University of Colorado who said she was sexually assaulted had her former coach say she was a poor kicker. From my perspective I think the coach is an IDIOT! Shouldn't all colleges offer underage athletic recruits beer and hookers?I think the University made amistake in not overhauling the athletic department at Colorado. When I say nurse do you picture a male nurse? I think as a society we still have expected roles and professions for both malesand females.
