Hi everyone:

I am really sick, and am really sorry; we won't have class tonight. I will send out an email notification to everyone. I will post your exam shortly, but will give you extra time on it so we can either reschedule class, or have a discussion online regarding Poisonwood. My appologies!

Please respond ASAP to the poll question.

I had technical difficulties trying to respond to the poll, but rescheduling the class is fine with me. Hope you feel better soon. Elizabeth

Hi Dr. Turner, I don't have an overly set in stone decision about meeting again or not but I do hope you get better soon! I'm not sure of Paula's schedule. I think that she said she already has some committments on the next couple of Tues. evenings.

Sorry your sick. I've been under the weather myself so I can really sympathize. I drove to Boone tonight so my vote is to discuss on line (please remember I drive about an hour and thirty minutes). I won't be able to meet on many other nights as I scheduled all activities around our existing class schedule.

Paula:

Did you drive to Boone for our class???? My gosh, I hope not! If so, did you not get the email I sent about 1 PM? I did that in case anyone didn't check the forum itself....

Yes, I did drive to Boone. Duh!

My email at school was down and the message only made it to my computer at home. Tuesdays I don't make it home until after class. Oops.

Fortunately, Randy was there too which made life a little less confusing!!!

Oh boy!!! I am so sorry that happened. It really shouldn't have; I wish I could have saved you both the drive. That is what I really had hoped I was doing, with the forum post and email.

I am so sorry it didn't work!

I did vote on the poll yesterday, but considering other people's schedules, either way is fine with me. Paula and Randy, I'm sorry to hear that you did not get the messages. Hope you all are having a good week. Elizabeth

I'm with Randy as far as my vote goes. It is not set in stone. I voted to meet, but I realize I have the shortest drive. I just enjoy the discussions that we have in class concerning the topics. They always help to clarify the reading. The online discussion will help too. I'll be happy to do whichever works best for everyone. I know that with the holiday schedule it may be difficult for all of us to get together. (He was the closest one I could find to a Christmas emoticon!)

After viewing the final and taking my first round of antibiotics I can honestly say that I wouldn't mind meeting again. Please just let me know soon so I can get meetings and such rearranged!

Well, I suppose by default we aren't meeting again. I'm finally on the mend, though not really well yet. Yuck. I hope you all are doing well! I took Paula's earlier comments about her schedule very much to heart, though I know, now, Paula feels a little differently about it.

I want to continue to encourage you to discuss on this board issues related to Poisonwood or to the final.
