The caged gorilla to me represents one looking out. His discussion about wanting to take a trip meant to me, there is a mass of knowledge and intrigue, and you don't have to be a taker to enjoy it.
Are we all looking out? Are we all in a cage? Are we just a speck in the whole scheme of things past and present? How will be uncaged? This is to much philosphy for me.

Chris,
I think we are all in a cage in one way or the other. Most are in a cage that we lock the door to ourselves. We live by the culture we grew up in and it takes something fairly radical to change our outlook on life and what our decision should be. Cages have many different appearences, but cages never the less. This book can be an eye opener for our cages, but will it change our future? Doubtful for sure.
