Does anyone know how much of an average pay increase an elementary ed teacher would get if they had a masters degree rather than a bachelors? I heard it was over 10,000 more but I wasnt sure.

I don't know the exact numbers, but I know it is considerable in North Carolina.
In New York you have to have a Masters before you teach at all, they used to give you a grace period of 5-7 years to complete a Masters program, and depending on the district, your tuition would be paid by the school system.
That is a lot of schooling for the amount of pay teachers make!
Something to think about if anyone is looking to teach out of state.
