I just wanted to see what you guys thought about school names. I always thought it might be a little weird having a school named after a person. I thought this because say your school is named after JFK for example. Would you be the JFK Tigers, or the JFK Wild Cats, or maybe the JFK Wild Democrats I don't know, I guess it is a nice gesture to name your school after a person, but I wonder what students think about it. Give me some insight if you went to a school that was someones name.

I think you're right Joel. I think it would be weird telling your friends that you go to a school named after a person. You know the cool thing about middle schools is that most of them have internal teams within each grade. Usually teams have mascots as well and the students really get involved with the team mascots. We can learn a lot from those middle schoolers

I do not like the idea of having a school named after a person. I think people get too wrapped up in having to have things named after someone in honor or memory which is fine for somethings, but i do not see it necessary for a school. My hometown it seems we have gone to doing that. I just think its more original and creative to be different.
