This kind of goes with kirk's post on wording test questions...How do you all feel about using "trick questions" and what do you think they bring into the classroom if anything? If u plan on using "trick questions" will you prewarn your students?? Because I know a lot of times teachers have been like okay there is one trick question somewhere in the test, and i would sit there going through each question asking myself "is this the trick one?" (yeah what??)

I don't agree with trick questions at all. Every time that I have come across questions like that and gotten them wrong, I simply remember being really mad. I think this even has made me bitter towards some teachers. I mean, why go out of your way to make a test harder? If a student knows the material, then they should have a fair assessment. They shouldn't have to read each question five times to make sure they haven't missed some little trick. No fair!
