I was just wondering if you guys could give out some ideas as to how to help me and other classmates with students in your classroom who may be hearing impaired, or have a visual impairment, or a learning disability? How can we accomodate to their needs while not devoting too much time and making a huge issue in front of class and maybe even embarassing them?

I would really like to have more ideas about this topic, too. I want to know some good ways to help students with disabilities learn better without making them look like an outcast. The only ideas I really know are to make sure that children with hearing or visual impairments are sitting in the front of the classroom. That way, they can hear and see better. Also, maybe you could assign a buddy to children with disabilities. This buddy should be a more responsible and sensitive child who can help them out when they get confused and you are not available for consult. Those are just some little ideas.
