Post subject:  The age of new teachers

I seen an article in a paper about the age of some first year teachers and what effect it has on the classroom. I know some of us will probably be graduating in the next year or two and some of us will graduate by the age of 22 or 23. I'm not trying to say that those of you who are that at that age are not going to do a good job, I know that you all will be great teachers. I was wondering how only having an age difference of only about four years between you and a high school senior will affect your thought processand attitude towards your students. I know for me that I will be nervous my first year dealing with high school students if I go that route. Some people at the age of 22 or 23 or even 28 have still not matured enough to handle kids that age. I just wanted to see what some of you all thought about the age difference among teachers and students. And is it an issue?
