Was anyone else bothered by Jackson's comparison of teachers to housewives? See quote p.11, eleventh line from the bottom.

I was not bothered by the quote , but I can see how it could be considered sexist. Jackson could have used a better example. Even though you rearrange the living room, classroom, or garage: the underlying problem still exists. For instance, if have a broken chair in your living room and you go through and rearrange it- the chair is still broken.

I agree with Johnny in the fact that the quote did not disturb me, but I too can see how a female may see the comment as sexist. There were definitely ways to avoid making that comment.

I thought the entire comment was meant to be derrogatory, and he used the comparison to make it even more so.
He obviously doesn't place much value in house wives either!
