I enjoyed having our mini debate in class the other night. I had never sat through one of those. Just to see how those things ran and to hear everyone's viewpoints on affirmative action was interesting to me.

It was interesting to have to study both sides of the issue. I think knowing both sides of any topic will help you learn and understand better.

I agree with both of you.
It was interesting how even if you did not believe in the position you were debating, you still became emotionally involved by the competition aspect of debating.
You really wanted to win your arguement.

This was my first debate, and I thought it was fun. I even learned about affirmative action, which to me was just something I heard about on the news. It was interesting.

I agree that it was fun, and it was interesting that most of the students were arguing against what they believed. A couple of the ladies debating against Affirmative Action were for it, and a few of us having to debate for it were really against it.

P.S. I still say the best person for the job should get the job.

Definately an enjoyable time. Our cohort is full of very pasionate people and those types of activities gives us all an opportunity to be expressive and to play around a little.
