Hello to all. I did check with Dr. Turner about using forum for exam questions and she said yes.......as long as we have not started writing. So to those of you who have not started the exam.......I would love to have some feedback on negative and positive freedom - question #1, and also some thoughts on #7 would also be helpful. Thanks!!

Positive freedom is the ability to actively seek potentialities. It is the highest form of freedom. Negative freedom is the freedom from restraint -"adolescent freedom."

Cultural capital (I think) is the wealth, power, advantages that is available to those students who belong to the culture of power. Think "white privilege".

Donna, I had a hard time with question number one trying to remember but I had wrote down some notes. Positive freedom is the highest and least common of the two. She gave an example of positive freedom in which water is free to run down hill whereas with negitive freedom the example she gave was dealing with adolscents who have a curfew at 10:00.

Question number two comes from Bloom's Taxonomy. The highest competence is evaluation. Does everyone else agree or are there other ideas?
