I was just wondering if anyone had ideas regarding the significance of the green mamba in The Poisonwood Bible? I was wondering if Kingsolver was making an allusion to the garden of Eden with the snake that killed Ruth May. Although the Price women weren't cast out of Kilanga, they kind of cast themselves out. Could that be another allusion to the Fall? It also made me think about Anne Hutchinson and her exodus. Any thoughts?
