While reading A Hope in the Unseen I was surprised to find Dr. Korb who gave money to Cedric each month while he was at college. He also invited Cedric to his house for Thanksgiving when he knew Cedric did not go home for the holiday. I thought that this was a very nice gesture, for a man to seek Cedric out and provide him with money. I didn't know that people did this kind of thing normally and I think Cedric was extremely fortunate to have this kind of monetary support. It is good to know that some people do care and are willing to help others. With a strong mother and then this kind of support, Cedric was able to make it in his Ivy League School.
