Why is it, that when someone trys to better themselves,people like the brother-in-laws friend, try to make you feel that you are doing something wrong? I have had that happen to me. Like when you're with your homies, and you use words that they don't normally hear, they said you are showing off, or listen to the college girl using all those big words. You can't help the way people perceive you, you just have to be true to yourself. I don't think the girl at Groton was trying to be white, she was just adapting.
