[There will always seem to be a strong need for something in the educational system. Finding a good principal is definately hard to come accross and I am sure its a hard job to fill as well. The good thing though is that people can grow and change and thats part of education.

I really enjoyed this article. I have thought about a master's in education administration. This artilce gave me insight to some things that principals really have to go through. I think if I were a principal and I took a position (or in some cases, were placed) in a "low-achieveing" school, I would really want all of my students to do well. I hope that I would have the...um...well...strength to put orders from central office, Washington DC, and the state to the side for the benefit of education for all.

This article was refreshing. We are in a time of No Child Left Behind that stresses standardization, mandates, and sticking to the book. Personally I do not want to work for a principal who just listens to the government every step of the away. I hope I work for someone like the those mentioned in the article.

Good principals make good schools.
Great principals make great schools.

This article showed me what I will be doing for my whole career as a teacher. That is, doing what is best for the students and not the system. I get very aggravated when I talk to teachers and they seem more worried about what is wrong in the eyes of an administrator. These administrators are producing an environment of priorities with children on top. Wow what a concept! These principals are doing a great job.
