Bishop Long gives a bad name to religion. He drives around in his big cars, living the life of luxury supported by people like Barbara who give the church/him their last dime. I believe in having faith that God will provide; however I do not believe that God meant for Bishop Long to live such an extravagant lifestyle. If he had contributed to the financial need of Barbara and some of the others in the church they might not have been evicted or gone hungry. I feel the church should help support their preacher, but this is ridiculous. He should have a decent livelihood, but not as extravagant as this. No wonder so many people see Christians as hypocrits. The sad thing is that he had such a following ... so many people who were willing to listen and take his advice. |
