Ladies, Did anyone else find it interesting that Ishmael never studied gorillas, his own species - but he encouraged the narrator to study the his species - humans? This entire book could be viewed as a study of human society; it includes elements of psychology, sociology, and cultural anthropology. I found it very ironic.

I didn't think about this...but it is very intersting. Maybe that could be Daniel Quinn's next book. What is "My Ishmael" about? I thought I heard someone talking about it, but I didn't hear the whole conversation.
