Back in my CI 2800 class I was tutoring a 3rd grader whose parents were from Syria. This kid was always looking for attention, and one day he said something about "bombing America" or something in that context. One of the other students in my class reported him without giving the child's name. My teacher wanted to know who said the comments and that she would have to report him to the dean of the RCOE and call his parents. I thought that this would be unecessary. The kid didn't really know what he was saying. Do comments like "I am going to bomb America" that come from a third grader really need to be taken that seriously?
