In my technology and literacy class we are working on a project about the different school subjects and what it means to be literate in them. In my group my topic is Language Arts, so I got the general question of "what does it mean to be literate?" I started to type an answer, but by the time I was halfway through the sentence I wanted to change it, and then I tried again and the same thing happened. It's a very difficult question to answer depending on how you perceive it. It got me thinking about this class and our discussion of intelligence based on how you speak or think. So what do you think it means to be literate? :P
