I thought that the Men is skirts thing was great for an art exhibition. Why is it so weird for a guy to where female clothing without being labeled but a woman can wear mens cloths and there would not be a second glance. sorry to say if i saw a guy in a skirt i would definately give it a second glance. we have the highland games where i am from and Scottish people could not get any more angry than when you tell them you like their skirt.

I think that it is more accepted for a woman to wear men's clothing than a man to wear women's clothing because of our tradtional social roles. Women have been viewed as the weaker sex (not that I agree with this in any shape or form!) and for a man to dress like a woman, would make him appear weaker and more vunerable. There is also the functionality of the clothing. Men's traditional clothing tended to be more functional and allowed for greater freedom of movement. It's natural for women to gravitate towards clothing that they can actually run and breathe in, rather than attempting to do housework (and other tradtionally female jobs) in a corset. I think that today, men are more trapped in these roles, as being seen as feminine equals "gay" in society's eyes. As women have been able to break from old social roles, it is easier for them to wear more "masculine" clothing.

See, even when i looked at that picture i had to laugh. They put a model with tatoos and who is trying to look really tough in a skirt. Other than transgender or cross dressers men just steer away from skirts all together i think because they do not even concider it an option.
