I find it amazing that this blind, mute, deaf woman could be so couragious during the early 20th century. I can't believe that people do not want you to know her true history and beliefs. I think she would be even more of an inspiration to people if these seldomly attributed facts are portrayed.

I completely agree with you! For some reason it seems like people are wanting to cover up her successes just becuase they might not sit right with the majority of people. And another thing on top of all this; people were saying that blind, deaf, and mute people do these kind of things all the time these days. I hate to say it but if you over come those setbacks, even getting out of bed is a major accomplishement. I can't imagine all my senses being taken away from me. I definitely commend Hellen Keller and anyone is who is willing to teach her true successes.

I agree with Scott, also. I don't understand why anyone would want to keep this woman's successes a secret. I wish that my teachers had been more knowledgeable about Helen Keller (other than she was blind, deaf and mute) when I was in school, so that I could have known the whole fascinating story.
