After reading this article, I am amazed at how seperate and unequal we still are. I was blown away reading about parents in New York that pay $24, 000 a day for pre-school and even more amazed by those that pay counselors up to $300 an hour just to help them fill out the application. That is so hard to believe after just reading some of the statements black students made about how unequal things are. "Why do we not have clean bathrooms? Why do we not have parks?" Another child asked Kozol to make her a good school like the kings have. Others said that people would be relieved if minority students just disappeared. How sad is it that these students know how badly they are being treated? This is such a shame.
