Isn't it funny how the wanted to move away from the class system. They thought the test would create a way to get out of monetary classes. College admission should not be based on money but on academic. But it is my opinion that the test created a new class. It placed students in a class based on academics. Is that better than the other class system? And was this class system really accurate and fair?

Also they wanted a test that would measure intelligence and not environmental circumstances and they believed the SAT did this. The point was brought up in the book, but dismissed as quickly as it was mentioned that students can be coached for the SAT. If this is the case then the SAT is not a true measure of intelligence and if they still believe it to be then why do high schools offer classes on how to take the SAT and why do they allow you to take it more than once to see how high a score you can receive? Obviously, the test is not a true measure of intelligence without environmental circumstances if all of these things can occur.
