I did some research and asked around here are the titles of some books that I thought we would find interesting after reading Ishmael and The Poisonwood Bible.
Sarah by Marek Halter- a good friend of mine read it and loved it!
This is the first in a triology about different woman of the Old Testament. The second is Zipporah, Wife of Moses. She said this one was good but she seemed to really love Sarah. The last is not released yet and I could not find a name. Halter also wrote The Book of Abraham. From what I could find these books seem to be well researched historical fiction.
My husband also just started a book that seems interesting. Song of the Crow by Layne Maheu. When Noah is building the arc he chops down a tree with a crow living it. The crow narrates the rest of this journey.

Sadly No I haven't read any of these. But I have heard wonderful things about them, especially Sarah. I have high hopes of reading it over the summer.
