Very interesting article.. it correlates with the class discussion very well and goes to show that we may very well have children in our classrooms who are more aware of the transgender subject than our generation was.

This is a very interesting article! It doesn't surprise me in the least that TV follows the trend of society (dress, style, sexuality, rights, school, etc.) It's hard for me to realize that 5-10 years ago, a transgender person on TV would have gotten a lot of negative talk, not to say this won't but for a TV show to even step out of the traditional soap opera story line and throw something new in such as a transgender character is definitely stepping out of the box from the past!
