Maybe part of the reason that I couldn't really understand much of this essay was because of where I was while I was reading it, but by page 4, I was totally out of my realm of thinking! I will try to reread and see if it makes more sense to me the second time around.

Kathy, I felt the same way. It was like I was reading something in a foreign language. I am totally confused.

OK, these articles were hard to follow. I posted a thread on what I thought I got out of the article. Please read and see what you think. I will also read over these again.

I agree with you guys, the articles were tough to read and comprehend. I am getting a lot more out of just reading the posts- they make more sense to me.

The first article was okay and made sense, although I wasn't sure if I was "getting" everything I was supposed to get. As for the Darwin article, I need a summary in laymens terms. Can anybody help? When I started reading that article I had a headache. By the time I finished it was pounding!

Can you get Cliff Notes for articles? The Darwin article still has me puzzled, but the Dewey article was better. The lesson on cotton is clear for students to understand the process. I could relate to that article a little bit better.
