There were two quotes in the first article that certainly prove that things just don't change. One was...The world in which most of us live is a world in which everyone has a calling and occupation, something to do. Some are managers and others are subordinates. But the great thing for one as for the other is that each shall have had the education which enables him to see within his daily work all there is in it of large and human significance. The other quote was toward the end of the article talking about learning being regarded as the tyype of culture where it said...we see about us everywhere the division into "cultured" people and "workers."
Every book we have read so far for this class somehow refers to the "haves and the have nots."
