Vote for your favorite reading.

I voted for Ender because it was an easier read and it surprised me for a science fiction...which is not my favorite type of reading. Nickel and Dimed would be my next favorite. Glad you figured out how to make a poll.

I vote for Ender also. I would not have chose that book myself to read because I don't get into sci-fi, but it was a great book. The Big Test would definately not be my choice unless I needed help getting to sleep at night.

Thanks Amanda for doing this poll.

 Ender's without a doubt! Big Test and Ishmael (I just can't get past chapter 8!) are my least fav so far.

I've heard The Poisonwood Bible is a good one, but I have to wade through the rest of Ishamel b/f I start another one.

I liked Ender's Game the best because it was an easy read. I didn't have to go crazy trying to remember bunches of names or info. It was laid back. I definitely needed that.

Although I am not usually reading science fiction, either, I liked Ender's Game the best, also.

Amanda, that was a good idea to do a survey. I voted for Ender's of course. You should do another one when we have read a few more books to see if the results change. Since you have read all the books, did you like any of them better than Ender's?

Melissa,
I liked a couple better than Ender's Game--which I didn't vote for. I voted for Nickel & Dimed. I liked Poisonwood Bible better, Savage Inequalities better, and that is all.

But, if we voted on the most hated book, I might have to flip a coin. Ishmael is ridiculous. And The Big Test, while important, was so horrible to read.

I think I will do another one after we read a few more books. Good idea.

I love the polls. Perhaps I'll do a fun one? For example: Who, in our class, is the most 'extreme nerd'? You know: brings their 3-hole hole-puncher to class, colors the pictures from Schlagal's "kit", decorates their assignments all cute...etc. I wonder :? if there is a limit :? on how many choices. JUST KIDDING PEOPLE!!! [Oh, and reading the books before class starts doesn't count towards nerdy-ness if you like to read anyway. I'm looking forward to a weekend of reading Grisham's King of Torts. ANyone else read it, other than Randy? ANd I am finishing Lee Miller's Last Girls. It's pretty good.]

Oh, should I be posting relevant posts? Sorry.

I voted for Nickel and Dimed because over the years I have worked with people who have struggled just to get by. Also, there were some humorous parts of her story.

Amanda- If hole punchers and colored pictures count then I believe reading all of the books ahead of time does also. Should we do a poll for that? :D
