As a high school senior I took the both the SAT and ACT. I can still remember the ACT to be an eaiser test. It tested more of the academics I had learned in highschool. While reading about both tests in this book I recalled a liking for the ACT and hatred towards the SAT. I did not know then that there were 2 different philosophies behind each of the tests. Now after reading about Lindquist's philosophy for the ACT I like it even more.

I remember being in Honors English in high school and the guidance counselors coming around to give us info. on the SAT and lots of the 4-year colleges. A friend, of mine was in the regular English class and the counselors provided them with info. about the ACT and nearby 2-year community colleges. I can think of several people in that class who went on to graduate from universities even though they obviously werent' expected to.
