I am so excited to get started with this message board. I am looking forward to this class. I'm starting Savage tonight and what I read from others our emotions will come out.

I finally made it on too, thanks to Dr. Turner's help. I've started reading just a bit.

I finished reading today. I'll probably go back and revisit some of the tougher parts. I had to disconnect myself the first time. It was the only way I could get through it. The sotries, the children, the sadness of it all was so painful. As I read, I kept asking - What can I do? What can be done? How could children be treated so, so badly?

How dare I ever again complain about the conditions of my school --- how could anyone after reading this?

I guess I live a sheltered life, because I didn't realize there were such horrible conditions in so many school systems in the United States. I will think twice the next time I feel like complaining about the lack of something at my school. Cindy
