In an utopian world all the classrooms smart, and passing your class with flying colors. Questions are answered and you never have to go over anything that you already taught. BUT

What if most of your class is failing and you can't bring them back? How do you bring your class back up to standards when you are given the "not so smart" class? How do you deal with the students that are passing and they are bored now because you are going over a math problem for the 3rd time?

This is actually a well-sized problem that I have seen during my internship this semester, I still have not recieved an answer, I do not even know if there is an answer. My mentor seems to think that something will pop up to work things out for the failing student safter the semester is over...we'll see if that works out.

This is one of the things I have been talking about in class:

1. Teach with respect.
2. Use higher order thinking skill strategies, not rote memorizaion. IE use the same, or better techniques as you would use with an AIG class.
3. Be explicit about your specific expectations.
4. Use rote-based GAMES, when they are necessary.

These are just a few points; there are more.
