I went to a high school that mixed the honors students with the regular students. The first attempt at this was made duing my sophmore year and I thought it worked great. Have any of you had similar experiences, and if so how did the school organize it?

Really the only classes that i had that were mixed were things like PE, Band, Home Economics, and "extra" classes like that. None of my core stuff was really mixed. I like being in classes with different groups of students though because often times some of my good friends were in other "tracks" and i didnt get to see them that much.

In my public school, just about every class I had was mixed, but I wasen't in any honors of AP classes. The only honors class I took in the public school was English and that class was not mixed. My private school on the other hand, had more foreign students or first generation Americans than it did African Americans or Mexican Americans. The one thing I loved about it was what I learned about other countries from my friends, who were almost all first generation Americans, and many of whom considered English to be their second language.
