Post subject:  Exam date
I spoke with Dr. Turner after class about the time we will have from the date we get the topic for the final and the due date. Am I alone in feeling that it would help me if I had the topic say a week earlier so I could work at a more comfortable pace? She has suggested that I ask the group. What do you think?

Alot of people will probably want to work on the final over school's Spring Breaks. I will be ready to work on the final once I get through reading Poisonwood Bible. Several of us in the cohort will probably be putting the finishing touches on our portfolios and master reflections. Thanks for inquiring about it Jackie.

According to the syllabus, the final will be posted on Wed, April 11 and is to be turned in by Monday, April 23. That is 13 days...It is my opinion that I think that is a sufficient amount of time...but if you guys need it...no problem here.

I understand the folks that are finishing portfolios and master reflections. It does not make a difference to me either way. So if more time is needed I understand.

Or could there possibly be an alternative to the written exam Dr Turner?
An extra discussion board topic? Let us make up exam questions for you to use in the future? Just think about it....

Amy, I love your ideas. If we got the questions ahead of the original date, we could have more time with our families since we could spread the work over two weekends instead of one. My days for homework are limited to Saturday and Sunday. My week nights are filled with my job responsibilities that I sandwich in between the little bit of time I have for my grandchildren and my husband. I really don't know how you guys and gals with children still at home balance everything. Hats off to you!

Dr. Turner, what if we all responded to my thread-what have you learned...and we could have a forum discussion in the process. Whether this is feasible or not, it interesting to read the posts...So, keep responding! It may be worth your while!?!

Thank you Doctor Turner for canceling the final. I have truly enjoyed this forum and the interactive nature of our class meetings.
