In class today I thought of this article I read last week.
http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national ... dents.html
Wow! This article makes you realize that people still care about each other.

Nikki, that's a really great article. I wish people took up for each other like that more often.

This definitely was a "feel good" article. It gives a little hope in the sea of all of the negative news that is seen about schools in today's media. This would be a great response to those people who ask you "Why do you want to be a teacher?".

That was exactly the kind of thing that I want to see in the school that I teach in. With all of this talk of class and separations, it was good to see so many different young people coming together for a common cause. I think that if more people would stand up for what they believe is right, no matter what others think of them, then we wouldn't have as many problems with bullies and violence in our school systems. This was a great, peaceful and proactive solution to an issue that all schools are faced with and I commend these boys for their work!
