There’s a book entitled Let’s Talk About Love: A Journey to the End Of Taste, it is about a guy who just despises Celine Dion’s music and everything it stands for. He then sets out to listen to Celine’s music and trys to find out if someone can change their tastes.

The book is about a lot of things that relate to the discussions we had yesterday, cultural capital, prejudice and class. One of the major talking points for the book was that prejudices exist through one's taste in the arts. That their is a belief among certain cultures and subcultures that liking a specific musical genre, movie, or book somehow entitles that you are more or less intelligent than others, a way to further separate and differentiate the classes.

A person’s taste in music or of any sort of art is entirely subjective. A lot of a persons taste in things is determined by their past experiences and the context in which it was seen, heard or read. With that said each individual should whole heartedly believe that their own tastes are the best in the world. Everything you like, you should also consider to be good otherwise why should you like it.

I guess my point is (hopefully) that taste biases exist maybe more subtly than that of cultural biases or can bleed into the other.
