| Post subject: | My Lai Massacre |
I know at this late hour there is going to be no one who will respond to this question but i really wanted to ask it anyway. As a soldier who has served in a foreign conflict, i really could relate to the video on the My Lai Massacre. It was easy for me to put myself in the shoes of the American soldiers and try to understand the choices they made and the things they did. There have been several instances of similar occurrences in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some have been reported, some have not. My Question is this: If you were one of the men sent into My Lai to destroy it, what would you have done? If you can definitively answer this question, you are a better person than I, because after thinking about it for months, is still don't know. |
