The media center is important because every student in the school has the opportunity to use it. It has hundreds (hopefully) if not thousands of books consisting of fiction and non-fiction. The resources in the media center can be used for entertainment or research. The reason the media center is most important is because it enhances the students' learning environment by providing the extra tools (books and computers) necessary for research.

The media center is important because it provides resources that can be used in the classroom and knowledge that can broaden the students' horizons to apply to projects and lessons in the classroom. Technology is expanding and becoming more widely available to students everyday and media centers are important places to teach students how to effectively use this technology and other media and literary resources and apply it to their education.

I believe that the media center is important for a number of reasons. First and foremost I believe that it offers numerous research opportunities for students and teachers alike. The internet itself can be a very valuable tool when both preparing and giving a lesson. Students also connect with technology and I feel that they learn more when in control of the device that is conveying the message. Media centers also offer creative ways to allow students to express themselves and what they have learned. Their importance to the school atmosphere is apparent and in today's society they cannot be done without.
