That was a good video. It just goes to show how first impressions can be wrong and to not write off a student just because of how they look on the outside.

I agree with what Chris said %100. This video has a deep message but the perception of our students does not and will not always be as deep as the video. The longer we teach the quicker and better we will be able to read our students. I feel like some of my teachers in high and middle school were too quick to dismiss the "bad students" and too quick to accept everything the good students did as golden. We should always try to give everyone, not just students, the benefit of the doubt and try to see the good or the unseen circumstances behind their actions. It will help them and you in the long run to change their lives for the better. It might also change yours.
