I just wanted to see how many people went to the diversity festival and what kinds of stuff you saw and learned while they were there. I worked the Student Council for Exceptional Children table early on in the afternoon and it was very enjoyable. It was great learning more from people that came up, along with getting to share important information with them. We actually had an ASU student come up that's a single parent whose child has some sort of communication disorder and it was so good that we were there because she thought her child's disorder was her fault and she didn't know where to turn for support or information and we were able to provide that to her. I didn't have a whole lot of time to check out the other exhibits, but I did make it to the Blue Ridge ballroom and got a henna tattoo. I think it is such a beautiful art form in the Indian culture. I think the diversity festival is such an amazing idea. I am so glad that we have the opportunity to experience so many cultures on our campus for free. I only wish they would do it more often. The sense of unity and openness is absolutely inspiring.

I went and I saw you there. I think its an amazing thing to do also. I didn't have time to look around either b/c I was doing hena. That was a really good experience for me. (I had never done it before) I found out that when girls get married, as long as they have the hena on them they don't have to do house work. I also met a lot other races. I saw you there and tried reading the color poster. That was really hard saying the color and not the word. Diversity Celebration is awesome and we should have it year round. Not just one time.
