Honestly, how would you feel about a production such as the Larame play being done in your school? Would you support it? or would you not? (Just a continuation of the discussion we started at the end of class.)

I honestly would support it. I am all about equality of everyone no matter what their sexual orientation or if they are transgendered. I have had the privilege of knowing both gays and lesbians and they are no different then straight people. I also know someone who is transgendered and this person is really quiet about it. She has been married 3 times, and to my knowledge never told the first two husbands that she use to be a man. Unless you know her before the surgery you really could not tell that she use to be a man. I know that before she got married a third time someone that she worked with found out that she use to be a man and blackmailed her for money that she would tell her fiance that she use to be a man unless they paid her. So she told him that she was born with both parts. She is still shameful that she use to be a man. Honestly do you think someone would go and have this surgery and completely change who they are just to upset society? Some people are okay with coming out about it and telling the world and others are so shameful they don't want anyone knowing about their past. Please think next time you say someone chooses to be gay or transgendered.
