I went to a function that talked about different holidays all over the world. I was amazed at the different holidays that happen during the Christmas season and even at other times during the year. It's a shame that we couldn't get for all of the holidays. One example is the fact that Mexico greatly celebrates Christmas from Dec. 16th to the 24th. They are celebrating the trials that Mary and Joseph faced before the birth of Jesus Christ. Overall this was a good thing to go to because it makes me aware about different cultures and customs. As a teacher it should be a point to understand the holidays of students and maybe introducing them to the rest of the students.
