Hello all! I found the list of books we probably need for class. Do you think we will need the other 3 books later? If so, I'd rather go ahead and get them now. Thanks! :D Have a great Monday!

Hi Tina,

These are the books you need to have (order, borrow...) :)

Ishmael, by Daniel Quinn

The Poisonwood Bible, by Barbara Kingsolver
for 10.10 from Amazon, list is 14.99

• Paperback: 576 pages
• Publisher: Harper Perennial Modern Classics; 1st edition (May 31, 2005)
• Language: English
• ISBN-10: 0060786507
• ISBN-13: 978-0060786502

Home on the Field: How One Championship Soccer Team Inspires Hope for the Revival of Small Town America (Paperback), by Paul Cuadros
ISBN-10: 0061120286
ISBN-13: 978-0061120282

Ender's Game (Ender, Book 1), Author's Definitive Edition, by Orson Scott Card
ISBN-10: 0812550706
ISBN-13: 978-0812550702

Supplemental: (You are not required to buy it.) Where the Wild Things Are [DELUXE EDITION] (Hardcover), by Maurice Sendak
ISBN-10: 0060254920
ISBN-13: 978-0060254926

All the rest will be provided via the web or as a PDF from your syllabus.

I do recommend the whole Lisa Delpit book, though, "Other People's Children," but we will only be reading an excerpt.

Thank you for the info. If I needed any for future classes, I fugured it would be best to order them all at one time.
About our work in advance of class tomorrow, I could not get the video to play. At the site it had several links but I could never get it to run. Any suggestions?

The note on the syllabus is to let you know I will bring that video to play for you in class, and to allow you to explore their website. I'm sorry that wasn't clear!
