After reading the article by Adam Gamoran (the first link for Sept. 25), I had to wonder something. If separating the "honors" students from the "regular" students improved their test scores by so much, can we ethically limit them to mediocre performance in school? I didn't realize that "tracking" made such a big difference in academic performance.

Should we simply improve the classes and educational methods for "regular" or "slow" students? I wonder if these results carry across the board for most schools/students.
